Frequently Asked Questions

Is the app free?
Yes. The app is free, ad-free, and contains no in-app purchases.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All content (facts, milestones, anthem audio) is bundled within the app and available without an internet connection.
How do I switch between English and Arabic?
From the About tab, tap the language toggle. The whole app, including layout direction, switches instantly.
Is the app affiliated with the UAE government?
No. The app is an independent personal contribution. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any UAE government entity. All facts are sourced from official UAE government sources.
Where do the facts come from?
Every fact and milestone is sourced from a verified official UAE source — including u.ae (the official UAE portal), WAM (Emirates News Agency), and other government and institutional websites. Tap "Sources" inside the app to see the full list with direct links and quotes.
What about the national anthem?
The audio is provided courtesy of the UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention. The attribution is shown on the Home screen.
Does the app collect personal data?
No personally identifiable information is collected. The app uses anonymous, aggregated event analytics (such as "anthem played" or "fact viewed") to understand which features are most useful. No name, email, location, contacts, or device identifier that could identify you is collected. See the Privacy Policy for details.
I think a fact is wrong. How do I report it?
Email us with the fact in question and a link to a contradicting official source. We’ll verify against official UAE government sources and update if needed.
Why is "Update Now" appearing?
For critical bug fixes, the app may prompt for an update. Tap "Update Now" to open the App Store. If the prompt is mandatory, an older version may stop working until you update.
Can I share an "Express Pride" card publicly?
Yes — that's what the feature is for. Just be aware that you remain responsible for the content under the laws of your jurisdiction, including the UAE Cybercrime Law.
